Personal Fitness Training Q & A

Q: What is Personal Fitness Training?
A: The science of teaching a client how to use their body correctly and efficiently in every action he or she might execute in order to achieve specific goals. This includes, but is not limited to weight training and cardiovascular exercise. Personal training is frequently used for advances in Sports Specific Training, Rehabilitation (pre and post-surgery), Weight loss, and General fitness. The best personal training is accomplished in individual sessions to ensure focus is placed on one client at a time.

Q: What are the Pilates Reformer Packages and when can I sign up?
A: The Pilates Reformer is an excellent way to isolate muscle groups with resistance and further refine muscular engagement.  The personalized sessions focus on a series of precise, controlled movements by integrating the use of the minor core muscles to stabilize the body while major muscles execute movement. Balance, flexibility, strength and posture are only a few of the benefits.  Pilates Reformer classes are held in a relaxing and private setting.  Appointments are available for student and members 24-hours in advance.

Q: Why would I need a Personal Fitness Trainer?
A: Personal Training is encouraged for everyone from beginner exercisers through advanced or competitive athletes.

Motivation —It takes more than state-of-the-art equipment to reach your fitness goals. You have to exercise regularly and make each exercise session count. A personal trainer will help you develop the incentive to stick to your exercise plan.

Guidance — A personal trainer's expertise enables him or her to customize an exercise program, making it specific to your goals. One size does not fit all! Plus, your trainer will teach you correct form, which will maximize efficiency and effectiveness, and minimize the chance of injury. Finally, as your fitness improves, your trainer will fine-tune your program to meet your changing needs and make sure you continue to get results.

Convenience —Don't have time to exercise? You and your trainer can figure out a schedule that will work for you. Together, you can also brainstorm ways to overcome the other obstacles that stand between you and your goals.
