The CAPS training program for UNLV graduate students provides high quality training and supervision in the provisim of intake assessments; individual, couples, and group psychotherapy services; and educational programming. Participants can build their clinical skills by providing direct therapy services to CAPS clients.
We provide a number of training seminars addressing such interesting and applicable topics as suicide risk assessment and prevention, couples and family therapy, multicultural counseling, and many more.
Appointments
You can call or walk-in to make a same-day, initial intake appointment. A counselor is available during open hours to see students who are experiencing significant distress and to consult with students, staff, and faculty.
All clinical services are free to currently enrolled UNLV students who have paid their health fee. For couples or family therapy, one person must be a currently enrolled student. Clinical services are confidential.
